Hi
I have been keeping my self busy patch work quilting, something I have been wanting to do for a long time now.... I joined a class of other ladies with the same interest ( some have many years experience) and hopefully will learn many new techniques. But for now have tried something fairly simple. I have now just finished my very first Knee quilt and hope to go onto go onto even more challenges.

Thanks again Teresa, cannot wait till the next time.

Girlie craft night

Hi everybody
Last Thursday evening my friend Heather and I went to my daughters for a girlie craft evening.
She showed us how to make an Easter Box and Easter Basket which is very useful and can be used for all sorts of things. We also made three different cards which we finished off at home as we ran out of time, as some members of the group had to be up for work the next morning. Shame because we were on a roll........ Well done Teresa and Heather and I are looking forward to the next one.
the stamps used for the cards were the SU. A Good Egg stamps which are great. The was SU Tea party and SU Kraft paper. White ribbon used is the SU grosgrain range of ribbons, braids were from stash, watercolour crayons to colour the chicks and bedazzled to complete the shell.

New Punch

Hi Everybody, I went to visit my daughter and guess what this involved a shopping trip and me spending even more money......Among my purchases were the Nellie Snellon Floral punch set, a flower punch and an embosser. I have a couple of cards using card from my stash, borders using my Martha stewart punches(which are fab) and the flowers I cut in a very fine parchment, and coloured them using little gem colours. The centre of the flowers is another Nellie Snellon punch. The sentiments are all Rub ons, which I love and drive my daughter crazy as I am always asking her to be on the look out for these. I have ordered new one's from QVC and hope they will be okey and not a disappointment. Well hope you are getting a lot of Craft Time in. Speak to you later.

Raining today....

Hi Everybody,
Just for a change today we have rain..... heavy rain.
Good job I grabbed the opportunity yesterday to go out in the garden to do a bit of tidying up and plant a couple of pots.
The rest of the time I spent in the work room...... trying to get ahead
of myself and make a start on some Easter cards, here's my
efforts....
For the Easter cards I used papers from my stash, for the boarders I used Martha Stewart double looped punches, ribbons from the SU range, brads from Hobby craft and the MAS rubber stamps.
I also made a couple of Birthday cards to add to my selection ready for any 2010 birthdays .
Oops!!! here comes hubby, home unexpectedly he always seems to catch me out.........
Catchca later.
Hope every one is well......

Hasty Cards

Hi everybody.
Hope you are keeping safe and well in this treacherous weather.....
Still have not been out in the car yet !!!!
Our main roads are better but all the side Roads are horrible.
Had news over the weekend my sister was taken into hospital so I hastily made her a card, that was the easy bit the walking up to the post box to post it was not....
For her I have made a get Well card using Card from my SU stash which I love the colours and co-ordinated trims etc you are able to get, the black card for letters from my stash and used Quickutz mini alphabet chick-a-dee cutters. The stamp which I coloured using SU water colours is one which my daughter stamped for me using her rubber stamp from the many..... she has.
The second card I just did as I was inspired by the Crafty Cook.
The stamp was also from my daughters collection which is a Cornish Heritage Farm stamp called the Frog Chorus.
The green card is SU card from my stash and the lettering are Rub ons.
Hope you like, must dash as tea is cooking and don't want to burn......
Catch you later.

The card and pink ,turquoise card I used from my stash
the letters and flower were cut using QuicKutz Birthday Die cuts and the flower using QicKutz Nesting Flower die cuts.
Hope you all are keeping safe in this weather.

About Me

I am a recently retired lady, with a very understanding husband and two grown up daughters. My eldest daughter is married to an equally if not more understanding husband as she is a crafting fanatic. She is the one who has persistently encouraged me to do card making and scrap booking in the past. Which I thank her for the encouragement.
